October 4, 2010 From the Vault – Putting the stocker exhaust back on the SV650s
I’ll keep this short and sweet. I had an SV650s for about 2 years. It was really a great bike, and I really miss it. I don’t have it anymore, and its a very complicated situation. The gist is that the co-signer decided to have it voluntarily repossessed in order to sever all ties to our past together. It was as simple as that. She wanted to move on, and who can blame her?
Enough of the sad story. Here are the funny pics.

Yup, using stainless hardware as filler for that monster gap where I had cut the original stock exhaust off. The can i’m throwing on there was actually from a buddies SVs from like 98 or something. I just wasn’t about to let this thing go w/my Carbon Leo exhaust on it! I really wish I’d kept the OEM brake lines, those stainless lines weren’t cheap, and the grip heaters were nice too. Oh well, live and learn.
